Completing this qualification provides learners with essential knowledge and skills, preparing them for either employment or further studies in the business field.
The OTHM Level 3 qualifications are open to learners aged 16 and above, with no specific prerequisites for entry. We ensures that learners are suitably prepared to meet the demands of the programme and fulfil the learning and assessment requirements.
English Language Requirements: Learners from non-majority English-speaking countries must demonstrate English proficiency.
The OTHM Level 3 qualifications on the RQF are equivalent to GCE AS/A Levels in terms of practical knowledge, skills, and competencies.
The Level 3 Diploma in Business Studies is composed of four mandatory units plus two optional units, totaling 60 credits, 600 hours of Total Qualification Time (TQT), and 360 Guided Learning Hours (GLH).

This qualification is structured for six months of full-time study, though flexible options, including part-time and distance learning, are available to accommodate diverse learner needs. It is delivered via face-to-face sessions, such as lectures, tutorials, and seminars, or through distance and online learning, exclusively by approved centres.
Each unit in this qualification is assessed internally by us and externally verified by OTHM. This is a criterion-referenced qualification, requiring learners to achieve all specified learning outcomes for each unit.
To pass each unit, learners must present evidence showing that they have met the learning outcomes and assessment criteria. The assessor will then make a judgment based on this evidence, providing an audit trail to document the learner’s overall achievement.
Successfully completing the Level 3 Diploma in Business Studies qualifies learners for direct entry into the first year of a UK Bachelor’s degree or to pursue Level 4 Diplomas. Recognised and regulated by Ofqual, this qualification is acknowledged by many universities for direct entry into various bachelor’s degree programmes.
