The OTHM Level 5 Diploma in Information Technology aims to provide learners with a strong foundation for a career across various sectors. To be eligible for the OTHM Level 5 Diploma in Information Technology, learners must meet the following criteria:
· Hold a relevant NQF/QCF/RQF Level 4 Diploma or an equivalent qualification
· Be 18 years or older at the start of the course
English Requirements: If the learner is from a non-majority English-speaking country, they must demonstrate English language proficiency.
Qualifications at RQF Level 5 are equivalent to Foundation Degrees, Higher National Diplomas (HND), and the second year of a UK Bachelor's degree programme. They represent a solid level of practical knowledge, skills, and competencies.
The OTHM Level 5 Diploma in Information Technology comprises 6 mandatory units, offering a total of 120 credits, 1200 hours of Total Qualification Time (TQT), and 480 Guided Learning Hours (GLH) for the complete qualification.

The qualification is designed for completion within 6 months for full-time learners. However, it also offers flexibility for part-time and distance learning options.
It can be delivered in-person through lectures, tutorials, and seminars, or via online and distance learning with us.
All units in the qualification are assessed internally by the centre, with external verification conducted by OTHM. The assessments are criterion-referenced, meaning learners must meet all specified learning outcomes to pass.
To achieve a "pass" for a unit, learners must provide sufficient evidence demonstrating that they have met the required standards as outlined in the assessment criteria. The assessor will provide an audit trail detailing how they reached their judgment on the learner's overall achievement.
The OTHM Level 5 Diploma in Information Technology is designed with career progression and professional recognition in mind.
