The OTHM Level 6 Diploma in Information Technology is crafted to develop confident, independent thinkers who possess a thorough understanding of Information Technology. To enrol in the OTHM Level 6 Diploma in Information Technology, applicants should meet the following criteria:

· Hold a relevant Level 5 diploma or an equivalent recognised qualification

· Be 18 years of age or older at the start of the course

English Requirements: For learners from non-majority English-speaking countries, proof of English proficiency is required.

OTHM qualifications at RQF Level 6 reflect practical knowledge and competencies assessed as being equivalent to Bachelor’s Degrees with Honours, standard Bachelor’s Degrees, Professional Graduate Certificates in Education (PGCE), Graduate Diplomas, and Graduate Certificates.

The OTHM Level 6 Diploma in Information Technology comprises six mandatory units, amounting to a total of 120 credits, 1200 Total Qualification Hours (TQT), and 480 Guided Learning Hours (GLH).

Mandatory Units:

· Advanced Computer Networks (20 credits)

· Advanced Data Analytics (20 credits)

· Advanced Database Management Systems (20 credits)

· Management Information Systems (20 credits)

· Computers, Society and Law (20 credits)

· Computing Projects (20 credits)

The programme is designed to be completed over o6 months for full-time study but can also be delivered flexibly to accommodate part-time and distance learning. It is delivered by approved centres through face-to-face sessions, lectures, tutorials, seminars, or online options.

Each unit in this qualification is assessed internally by us and externally verified by OTHM. The qualification is criterion-referenced, focusing on meeting all the specified learning outcomes.

To achieve a ‘pass’ in each unit, learners must provide evidence demonstrating that they have met all learning outcomes and assessment standards. The Assessor makes this judgement, maintaining an audit trail to show how each learner's achievement level was determined.
